I. Join me and The Global Syndicate (GS) this Monday, September 7th at the West Indian Day Parade.
The GS is picking up steam like a run away locomotive. Big thanks to the organizers of the parade for providing GS with a booth in order to further our Haiti Project mission of education, health care, and sustainable economic assistance to the people of Haiti. Our partners are awesome organizations who have been doing work on the groung for substantial time: Project Medishare/Millennium Village, Yele, Cine Institute, Edeyo, Hollywood Unites for Haiti, and The Hinche Citizen's Initiative. The West Indian Day Parade is one of the largest parades in North America attracting about 3,000,000 visitors per year. The GS will have booth 427 on Eastern Parkway between Rogers and Bedford from 8am to 8pm.
II. Save-the-Date...The Global Syndicate and the who's who in politics and business hit DC on Saturday September, 26th from 1pm to 4pm.
Big thanks to Daphne Dufresne and Marcia Dyson for spearheading a special event to benefit The Global Syndicate's Haiti Project. To all my DC friends (Georgetown & Honorary Howard stand up) and all my NYC friends who are passionate about Haiti and want to join the caravan going down to DC for this unbelievable event please let me know asap. As many of you know Marcia and Daphne do not mess around when it comes to organizing. They are extending invites to some their friends like Susan Taylor, Gail King, President Clinton, Paul Farmer, Ambassadors of France, Brazil and Haiti and many more. The event will be hosted at Marcia's home on DC's Embassy Row comfortable accommodating 250+ people. Needless to say this will be the place to be during the Saturday of the Congressional Black Causus Weekend! Contribution levels for this event are $250, $500, $1000.
